Plasterboards
What is plasterboard used for?
Plasterboard is primarily used for internal walls and ceilings. It provides a smooth surface ready for painting or finishing and can also offer fire resistance, sound insulation, and moisture resistance depending on the type.
What sizes and thicknesses are available?
Our plasterboard has a thickness of 9mm and in lengths of 2400mm x 1200mm or 3000mm x 1200mm.
How is plasterboard installed?
Plasterboard is usually fixed to timber or metal framing using screws or nails, then jointed and finished with compound and tape to create a seamless look before painting.
How should plasterboard be stored before installation?
Store plasterboard flat, off the ground, and in a dry area. Avoid leaning it upright for long periods as this may cause warping.
Can plasterboard be recycled?
Yes, plasterboard is recyclable. Off-cuts and waste can often be returned to suppliers or taken to dedicated recycling facilities. Always check local regulations.
How is plasterboard finished?
After fixing, joints are covered with jointing compound and tape. Once dry, it’s sanded smooth and ready for painting or other finishes.

Protection Boards
Are the Protection Boards reusable?
Yes, both Medium and Heavy Duty protection boards are reusable, depending on the level of wear and tear they receive during use.
Are they waterproof or moisture-resistant?
While protection boards are designed to resist minor spills and surface moisture, they are not fully waterproof. For projects requiring waterproofing, additional measures should be taken.
What sizes are available?
Boards come in standard sizes and can be easily cut on-site to fit specific areas. Custom sizing and bulk quantities are also available on request.
Do I need any additional products for installation?
For secure installation, seam tape is recommended. We stock seam tape rolls (76mm wide x 50m long) specifically designed for use with our protection boards.
Are your protection boards stocked locally?
